Born in Bali in 2019, Abode was sparked by the founders outlook on life taking a turn. Caroline had traveled all over the world, but it was only to get away for short getaways in whenever I could squeeze them in work and life. On this particular trip to Bali, she came to the conclusion she didn't just want to just travel for fun any longer, but instead wanted to make it her full-time career. " I wanted to be doing what I loved every single day, making my happiness and passion for what I did top priority in life. When I returned from that ship, I immediately imported a small batch of pendant lights and sold them at local markets around Los Angeles. I was so happy at the end of each market, I knew it was time to give this a real shot. I filled my first full container in 2023 and here we are today!" Abode now has a full- time showroom in Los Angeles, in addition to e-commerce. Now partnered with her husband, Austin, and family back East, Abode has grown to be bicoastal since 2025.
